Our Print Services

Our Printing Services
We combine hands‑on craft with practical, design‑guided recommendations. Whether you need a short run, a sample mock‑up, or help choosing the right method for your artwork, we guide you through materials, color options, finishings, and the full production process. Every project includes art checks and print‑ready preparation, and we can support cut‑and‑sew or custom development for clients building something unique. As a small Northern Virginia shop, we focus on collaboration and flexibility — the kind of attention you don’t get from national printers.
Print Lab
Local, Hands‑On Custom Printing
A boutique, local print studio built for creators and small brands. Short runs, thoughtful design guidance, and direct access to the person printing your work.
Apparel Printing
At MH&Co, we fine‑tune every step of the screen printing process, using traditional methods to deliver consistent results. We offer full‑color printing or spot‑color printing (up to four colors), with the flexibility to print beyond the usual front and back placements. Pockets, sleeves, and even printed neck labels are all possible, and you can choose multiple print locations for more complex designs.
Ink feel matters, so we help you choose the right approach — thin or thick layers, soft or solid finishes, subtle or high‑brightness inks. The result is a print that looks great, feels intentional, and holds up through repeated washes.
If your artwork calls for scale, we also offer oversized prints up to 13×19 inches (and in some cases, slightly larger). We print on tees, hoodies, sweatshirts, joggers, tote bags, and more, and can walk you through our full blanks catalog to find the right garment.
No artwork yet? We’re a full creative studio — we can design your garment to match your brand story and ensure it translates beautifully to print.
Our collaborative process
1
Talk it through. Book a free 15‑minute consultation call, or schedule an in‑depth session to walk through your project goals.
2
Design and Prep. We create the design files, review colors and placement, and make sure the artwork is print‑ready.
3
Refine & Test. Approve a digital mock‑up, or request a paid test print if you want to see a single physical sample. Test prints require a fresh setup and breakdown.
4
Print & Deliver. We print your bulk order, hand‑inspect each piece, and ship or hold for pickup.

Our Print Methods
SPOT COLOR
Spot color screen printing uses individual, premixed inks for bold, clean graphics. It’s ideal for logos, typography, and artwork with solid areas of color. Spot colors also allow for specialty effects like metallics, fluorescents, puff, and glow‑in‑the‑dark. Best for designs that need crisp edges, perfect brand colors, or a more tactile print.
CMYK METHOD
CMYK screen printing uses cyan, magenta, yellow, and black to reproduce full‑color artwork. It’s suited for lighter garments and designs with photos, gradients, or subtle tonal transitions. This method gives you a soft, lightweight print with smooth color blending.
SIMILATED 4 COLOR
Simulated 4‑color printing recreates full‑color artwork using a small set of carefully separated spot inks. It delivers richer blacks, smoother blends, and more depth than traditional CMYK on dark garments. Ideal for detailed illustrations, artwork with texture, or designs that need the look of full color with the feel of screen printing.
Ink Choices
WATER‑BASED INKS
Soft, breathable, and eco‑friendly. Water‑based inks absorb into the fabric for a natural feel and can be printed with either vibrant or subtle tones depending on the design.
ALGAE Inks
A renewable, carbon‑negative alternative to traditional pigments. These algae‑based inks offer rich color while reducing environmental impact.
PLASTISOL INKS
The industry standard for bold, durable color. Plastisol sits on top of the fabric, giving prints a crisp, vibrant finish with excellent stretch. Additives can soften the feel for larger designs.
Discharge
A water‑based process that removes dye from the garment to create a soft, natural print. Best on 100% cotton. Can be used on dark garments with the right prep and care.
Puff Prints
A dimensional effect created by adding a puff additive to the ink. Once cured, the print rises for a smooth, raised, rubber‑like texture. The level of lift can be adjusted for subtle or bold results.
Metallic Foil
A high‑impact finish that adds shine and dimension. Foil is applied using a screen‑printed adhesive or heat press, creating a reflective surface that stands out instantly.
Labels
At MH&Co, we help you put the finishing touch on your garments with clear, professional relabeling. Whether you’re replacing existing tags or adding your own branding to blank apparel, we offer label application for small‑batch runs.
While we don’t provide full finishing services, we do offer relabeling after your print order is complete — saving you time, shipping, and an extra step with another vendor. It’s an efficient way to keep your branding consistent across every piece.

PRINTED NECK LABELS
Printed neck labels are a clean, comfortable way to brand the inside of your garments. We screen print the label information directly inside the collar, and if your garment has an existing tag, we remove it and resew the seam for a smooth, finished look.
PATCHES
If you prefer patches, we offer woven patch application for shirts, hoodies, hats, and more. Patches can be sewn on or heat‑pressed depending on the garment and style. We can walk you through the options and help you choose what works best for your project.
HEAT PRESSED LABELS
Heat‑pressed labels are a flexible alternative to printed neck labels. They apply cleanly over existing neck tags or onto blank garments, giving you a smooth finish. They’re not as soft as screen‑printed labels, which makes them a better fit for heavier pieces like hoodies.
FABRIC LABLES
We can apply woven or fabric labels to most garments. If a shirt already has a tag, we remove it cleanly and sew in your new label for a finished look. For garments without a label area, we can add a small grosgrain backing and stitch your label onto that.
Packaging
Printed Packaging
We design custom packaging — boxes, sleeves, inserts, and other structural elements — and can build prototypes so you can see and test the form before committing to a bulk run. When you’re ready for production, we prepare the final, vendor‑ready files for folding and gluing. We also print packaging in‑house for many designs, especially smaller runs or specialty pieces.
Polybagging
We fold and individually polybag your garments, adding size stickers for easy sorting. Polybagging keeps items clean during storage and shipping, protecting them from dust, odors, and handling. If you use barcodes or SKU labels, we can print and apply them to each bag using the codes from your system. We can also add QR codes for quick access to product pages, care instructions, or campaign links.
Flatstock Printing
We design and print a range of flatstock pieces — invitations, postcards, menus, brochures, business cards, greeting cards, rack cards, table tents, and promotional materials. Our focus is on small‑batch, design‑driven printwork with specialty inks, premium papers, and finishes you won’t find at a typical print shop.
SCREEN PRINTING ON PAPER
For specialty projects, we screen print on paper using spot colors, metallics, fluorescents, or glow‑in‑the‑dark inks. Screen printing allows for rich, tactile color and unique finishes that stand out in ways digital printing can’t. We can print on a variety of stocks, including kraft, cardboard, uncoated art papers, and premium papers from makers like French Paper Co.
FORMATS & SIZES
We currently print up to 13×19 inches in‑house. For larger screen‑printed pieces, we can print up to 17×22 inches depending on the design.
DIGITAL PRINTING
For full‑color work, we offer digital printing with glossy, semi‑gloss, or matte finishes. It’s ideal for direct mailers, brochures, menus, and other multi‑page or high‑detail pieces — all produced with the same design attention we bring to our apparel and packaging work.

Tech Packs & MANUFACTURING
We create clear, accurate tech packs for manufacturing, including measurements, construction notes, stitch details, and Pantone‑matched colors. These documents give your manufacturer everything they need to produce your garment consistently and correctly. We also provide design mockups to help communicate the final look before sampling.
If you’re preparing for bulk production, we can guide you through materials, trims, and fabric choices, and connect you with our partners in Los Angeles for cut‑and‑sew, printing, and labeling. Our role is to help you make informed decisions and ensure your design translates cleanly from concept to production.
